Tbh bypassing iframes seems good but when you think about it its not that good cuz if the boss is normally in iframe it means that he is preparing an attack that does lot of damage so i dont really think you should attack them even tho u technically could, too risky. For me the best weapon is electric staff, incredible stun, incredible combo potential and incredible range on the X move.

it deals more dmg, the skills deal a shit ton of dmg and you can combo with the 2 which also deals a huge amount of dmg

For damage scaling and overall damage the best weapon is either the revanouse axe or playful cloud unless they got changed since release
