For price to performance, the Fujifilm GFX 100S was hard to beat, but now we have the new GFX 100S II which has many of the features from the flagship GFX 100 II. Is this the best option for photographers shooting classic medium format subjects like landscape and portraiture? Chris Niccolls went to Elbow Falls to find out for you!

My first job out of college in 1966 was working for Dick Boyer Studio in Chicago. Dick was the highest paid commercial color photographer in Chicago (Vic Skrebneski was the highest paid B & W photographer). All our studio work with models was done with standard Hasselblad lenses and big strobes, but most of our location work with models was done with a focal-plane-shutter Hasselblad and a big, blue metallic 500mm f4.5 lens form somewhere in Eastern Europe. Nobody talked about bokeh in those days, but Dick Boyer’s trademark was wildly out-of-focus backgrounds made with a full-frame Hasselblad and that fast 500mm lens. Whenever we traveled by plane for location.shoots, we flew first class and Dick carried on his big blue lens.

One thing I always like about Chris and Jordan's videos when shot in Calgary is being outdoors in the woods. Next time, why not shoot a review up on Nose Hill with that wide vista of the city and the mountains, and the nice wind that you'll have to deal with (Jordan)? I loved being up there and at Fish Creek Park, taking a friends' dog for walks. Miss that city.

Looking forward to a fixed lens rangefinder style GFX camera with 50mm/40mm FF equiv. lens. Hopefully they innovate more on the next versions.

The GFX cameras have been so tempting for me... It's been making me question if I should sell all my Leica gear to pick one up.

Nice camera but I don’t think it’s enough of a jump forward over my 100s to upgrade. Loved the video.

Really wish Fuji would release a 50sIII. I love that sensor.

Hey..nice video! Thx for all the infos about this new camera. I have the GFX 50s Mark II and so far I am pretty happy with most of my pictures. But it sore does have some downsides such as the auto focus or speed. Would you recommend an upgrade to its bigger sister the GFX 100s Mark II? I gotta admit that after having watched your video I am tempted to do so...greetings from Germany! Keep up the superb work!
