Very odd how the block is done in Australia. In US, the coach must hit the block button at the time he/she turns. That late block while Keith was speaking and making a pitch was not cool. And I don't think the battle song was a good choice for either singer.

shame on jess for blocking keith. that’s so unbelievably sad. she wrote the song ABOUT keith and didn’t even get to work with him. if i was her, i wouldn’t have chosen jess, i would’ve chosen rita to smite jess. that’s absolutely awful.

I know that Jess really wanted her on her team, but it shouldn’t be about winning and getting her on her team. A good coach would want to do whats best for the singer, and take in consideration of what they wanted, not just try to win. This was an opportunity of a lifetime for Kaylee, and she just took it away.

In the USA version you have to block when you push to turn. And typically, if not always (think it is a requirement) they block someone who has not yet turned.

They also put a "steal" into the USA version after the 3rd season, so Keith could have gotten her on his team after she lost the Battle.
