As an architecture student I can assure you that you would be hard pressed to find a course where urbanism, and sustainable urban strategy, is not taught as an integral part of the curriculum

The reason good urbanism is good for the planet is that fostering urban design that’s more conducive to faster urbanization leads to more rapid technological development. Which shifts the resources that are needed to run the economy. Technologically stagnant economies exploit the same resources year after year.

This is a point made by Jane Jacobs in her best book: ‘The Economy of Cities’

A good grid and then you show a picture of Barça, it's a city with a good reputation but I think SimCity style grids are kinda sad, organic grids are often nicer

Excellent video! Architects, instead of focusing on their own work, would rather jump into another field of study (I.e.: engineering) and demand this or that nonsense be done.
