Wish I could call them. I am not lucky enough to have my parents on this planet. I was blessed to know my parents, love my parents and talk to them on the phone and in person frequently when they were alive. I loved them unconditionally.

I have my mom and dad but they live far. I don’t have anyone else who cares for me or checks on me
Other than them though. I’m so scared to lose them because I’m so scared to be alone in a raw way. I won’t have anyone to depend on. I won’t have anyone to listen to me when I’m hurting anymore. If you have siblings you are close to or that call and check on you it’s a blessing. I’d do anything to have a family.

hell ya, I lost both mine and I miss them dearly every day. I did call them often thank god. We can always have done more but don't throw out what you DID DO just so you can fell worse now. dor they are still right here waiting. love you mom and dad, your the best parents ever.

I don’t mean to just dump my problems on the internet or share with strangers but recently finding out my mother has terminal cancer I love this message even if you’ve got a good relationship with your parents pick up the phone tell them you love them make plans together and if you don’t speak to them(not every situation of course) try reaching out because trust me no one knows how long you have them around for and we take it for granted I took it for granted and now having to cherish every moment we have left I wish I would’ve done more

Parents are not owed any respect, just like any other individual in your life. Do not be guilted into respecting anyone just because they have a title of mother or father. You were never asked to be born nor were given the ability to choose who could raise you. Treat them as they have treated you.
