What to do in Paris? Sometimes you have to get out of the city. I had never been to Giverny before (which still confuses me:) but this trip was so incredible I actually wept with joy when we got there. It was so beautiful so I tried to grab some clips to really share the loveliness of the house and gardens with you. Monet's garden is impressive, and the house with the gardens out front is a MAJOR source of inspiration for our Everyday Chateau. Is Monet's garden beautiful even in late fall? Yes, it is! For sure add Giverny to the list when you visit Paris!

My husband and I visited Giverny and Monet’s house a few years ago. I will never forget it. This is when I fell in love with blue and white tiles and copper. The kitchen is stunning, so I was happy to see it again, thank you! We spent time walking the precious village of Giverny, so quaint, quiet and worth every penny we spent to get there! Thank you again for this tour, it brought back many wonderful memories.

As a single mom (and a painter) with my two children and a girlfriend of my daughter we visited Giverny back in the nineties " en route " from the Netherlands to Brittany ( our holiday destination) . My car being a white Saab 900 ;) I added some cultural outings to our vacation. Like Giverny and the Mont St. Michel . My daughter was 13 and my son 11. It was very special and we loved it all!! My daughter made a school project about Monet for her art lessons including our own pictures. Great to see it all back.

Monet’s garden is my favorite garden and I’ve been to many including Versailles, Loire Valley castles and gorgeous gardens in England. Monet, with his large staff was able to create a garden bursting with flowers, color, and essential charm. It’s a country garden, but with exquisite elegance, peace and comfort. A lot of people don’t know that a small road separates the flower side of the garden from the water garden. The visitor walks through a small tunnel to get from one side to the other. It’s impossible to choose a favorite, the flower garden or the water garden. I super recommend visiting in June when the roses are exploding! I wish I knew how the gardeners are able to grow such enormous roses, many the size of salad plates. 💐💐💐
