I have nothing but respect for all the women here. This being said I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed with every women's 'pro' competition. For the most part they are 20 years or so behind the level of riding at which professional men's competitions run at. Hannah Roberts is killing it in all fairness but the rest of the group are no better than a somewhat decent male rider at an outdoor uk skatepark. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way and I don't want to take away from the fact these women are at the top of their field. I just wish there were more women that rode, in order to progress the level of riding to the point where it becomes truly exciting to watch.

Just based on the footage we're seeing here, i'd say Minato Oike should have finished 2nd behind Hannah, she must've fell off her bike a few times to not even get third place. Also, BMX freestyle is NOT new it really just had hibernated coverage since magazines like BMX Plus!,  BMX Action & but the art of freestyle riding of this type has been around since the early 1980's with guys like Eddie Fiola, Mike Dominguez, Bob Haro & R.L. Osborn. If 30 plus years of folks riding this way is new, then that's a new definition of the word for me. Furthermore, women HAVE been riding BMX freestyle for years so why these girls aren't better than they are is a real surprise I mean like Josh said Hannah's run was legit like what you would expect to see at a pro comp with sponsored riders. The other girls except for Minato yeah, pretty basic street riding. Heck if you guys have seen the movie BMX Bandits with Nicole Kidman, that movie was 1983.
