ESOcast 163 Light: Too Many Massive Stars in Starburst Galaxies (4K UHD)

preview_player
Показать описание
Astronomers using ALMA and the VLT have discovered that starburst galaxies in both the early and the nearby Universe contain a much higher proportion of massive stars than is found in more peaceful galaxies.

The video is available in 4K UHD.

The ESOcast Light is a series of short videos bringing you the wonders of the Universe in bite-sized pieces. The ESOcast Light episodes will not be replacing the standard, longer ESOcasts, but complement them with current astronomy news and images in ESO press releases.

I would love it if you slowed these _bite sized_ videos down just a little bit. Enjoying the photos and reading the texts at the same time (for a non native English speaker) is just not possible.
I have mentioned it a few times already - but you seem not to read the comments or you just ignore them.
