Why Waimate locals can’t drink their tap water.

Waimate locals in Canterbury have been issued a “do not drink” notice for their tap water for the second time in two years. Environment Canterbury has consistently failed to adequately regulate industrial dairy and its use of synthetic nitrogen fertiliser which contaminates drinking water supplies. Greenpeace fresh water campaigner Will Appelbe explains.
