I have the root balls and can’t wait to start

The little holes on the sides of the prop ball allow you to thread through some of that bendy plant tie and tie it to the pole to keep it from falling over. Works well. I haven't tried aroid mix yet but have used these with sphag moss for a while. I soak the sphag moss in water with KLN rooting hormone. The sphag moss is very difficult to remove from the roots if you want to put the new prop into leca. So I want to try aroid mix or tree fern fiber next.

I have root balls, and want to air layer a Philodendron Splendid. Would Spagnum moss, perlite or fluval stratum suffice in lieu of aroid mix?

I have put in philodendron brasil for water propogation.. Nothing for 15-20 days. Then I tried cocopeat... Nothing for 7 days... I am going to do this method of air layering although without propogation balls.. I have small plastic boxes which have lid system.. I will solder holes on 2 sides and fill it up and tie it to mother plant. I hope that gives me results.. Saran wrap are messy too.

I bought those prop balls and I've broke 15 out of 20 when opening so not so good for reuse, I like them better then plastic wrap but not worth the price for me. I don't know why mine were so difficult to snap close and reopen.
