First look into my newly purchased century arms vska. This is my first foray into the Ak platform and yes it may not be the best Ak in production but it is a fairly decent effort by century to put out a beginner ak.

Exactly same model i got. Tricked it completely out. Over 5k rounds later still 0 issues.

I got my wife that exact same model....changed out the hand gard for a magpul hand gard and put the texas dog leg railed dust cover and put a red dot on it for her ....then a couple years later I got myself a PSA AK47 g3.. it reminds me of if the AK47 and AR-15 had a baby!! Lol awesome gun as well loading up to go to the range a bit later for test and zero in day!!!

It works. Ive put close ro 2K rounds through mine, 0 issue. Same with Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM-16 7.62, i see people bash it all the time and after 4K rounds of M80 147g FMJ NATO rounds, no malfunctions, incredibly accurate.

i recently got the century arms bft47. it is a solid gun. only 240 rounds through it so far. it feels great.

Honestly love mine. I haven’t had a single issue and I put 1300 rounds through it so far, I guess I got lucky?

its decent entry level gun, i saw where the forearm gets hot on the left hand, i like the wood furniture better, and it looks good

Just got one today. It was used but like you i got it because i am getting into aks and we’ll see. I hope it does well

The VSKA haters probably bought a used one that malfunctioned and since it was used they couldn’t use the warranty so they’re mad they got burned. Love mine

Wow that rifle really looks rough.. I just picked up the PSAk gf3 Which came with full magpul furniture and has much better fit & finish for $600. And while everybody can Buy whatever they want.. I would suggest that they look into that 1st

Century has put out absolute garbage for decades. But this rifle is actually good for the price. Someone they managed to get the heat treatment right on the trigger, bolt, bolt carrier and trunions as to not cause peening. Very minimal, if any at all, tang deformation. I've seen no peening or galling on the bolt and carrier, or front trunion. And they were smart to copy the Norinco double hook trigger group. It's very nice and crisp compared to something like a Tapco G2. It's no ALG, but for $600 it's better than most of my other rifles that cost $1000+. Fit and finish are ehhh, ok, I guess. It's an AKM, I think they look better a little beat up. The phosphate coating scratches easy. I wound up cerakoting mine anyways. Furniture is easy enough to swap out for whatever you want. Side rail is straight, irons are straight and required very little adjustment to zero, it shoots accurately out to 300 yards with cheap ammo. So far so good for me.

Would the magazines your using work the same for a Saiga C39 sporter? I got it back in 2013 and only have had tapco magazines and in need of more but since tapco is out of business I’m wondering if magpul would be the best route? I’m in commiefornia so I can only rock 10 rd mags

OK, so...you obviously have someone down there in the comments being at first glance a "hater". I know ammo isn't cheap right now, but I'd be very interested in seeing how it handles a couple hundred rounds through it. Your "fan" below, although maybe not as tactful as we would like, does seem to be worried about you. Would you take some close-ups of the components, then do 200 or so rounds, then show us robski-type close-ups so we can see if there's any damage or?? I think Nutnfancy liked the vska if I remember correctly, and who knows, it's probably better than a dpms but who knows, right?
