Great tutorial, but I didn't get why you multiplied favoriteNumbers.Lenght by 8 ?
Where the 8 come from ?

if u want to create a normal easy file type just follow these steps
1.Create a file with the file type you want
2.Go to properties
3.Find "Opens With" Then change the Open with to your liking
4.Hit Apply And Ok
5.Your New File Type is Officialy Prepared for use
Hint: Deleting and creating the file with the file type again will keep the opens with

Hi there, I need some help with this please. I get an error when getting the offset increments telling me that friends.name is null. It looks like it's not getting any of the friends info as it appears as age: 0 name: null no matter what I change. The txt in the bin folder has same formatting as yours with same lines and everything. Not sure how to fix it so any help would be great.

Ummm. This is a text file format. With some text in a crazy unsustainable arrangement.

Making your own file format would be a binary file with your own definition of headers, pointer indexes, and crud type activities.

But this is youtube so here we are. A guy that can barely speak.
