Thankyou for making this video. Looks very simple, but helps a lot for a former Windows user.

Seemingly this simple thing is not working in my MacBook Pro. Just switched from Windows couple of days back and now banging my head. I am able to create the shortcut using Make Alias option. However, the "kind" of this newly created alias changes from "Alias" to "Document" within a few seconds and then it's not usable any more. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1. Right click on the folder.
2. Select 'Make Alias'
3. Drag the new folder to the Desktop
For goodness sake, why does Apple have to make this simple task so unintuitive?
