Also, just a quick correction, the 4 band EQ on the V10 is not all complete kill. The high and the low is a kill. The two mids are only -26. This is due to the overlap in the cutoff curve. I made this mistake assuming the same thing over the weekend when I saw the infinity marking on the low. Again, thanks for your awesome coverage of our gear!

A big Thank you for all the continued work you do for all us DJs everywhere.
A question popped up in my mind after speaking to several folks who are in the venue business. From what I was told is just about every venue is starting to go with there own in house sound systems. From what I gathered are most if not all, are trying to get away from the equipment traffic, rigging, and so on. What all this comes to is the only thing the DJ will carry into the venue is their controller or tablet! Nothing more than that.
No more speakers, amps, lights, cases, trusses, ect. First it was no more having to cart in those thousands of CDs or vinyls, with those days long gone. Now little or no gear is next!
Now the million dollar question comes to mind for all those mobile DJs is, what is all this going to do to the mobile DJ industry? Would you be able to do a video on this perhaps one of the most important subjects concerning the future of the mobile DJ industry in near future?
Sense the introduction of the Bose F series flexible line array speaker, many other manufacturers began to develop similar versions with the choice ever growing. As the number of venues that go with their own in house systems increases, what kind of impact is this going to have on the vendors who sell such gear to DJs and on the Mobile DJs who already have just purchased gear?
Is this also going to impact pricing for DJs? Now they dont need hardly gear itself, just a tablet or controller and maybe no more liability insurance to boot sense they won't be bringing in, or performing any gear rigging that could fall on guests or cause damages to the venue.
Last but not least, is the advent of all those explosive mass number of choices of portible suit case type bluetooth 15" speakers that have all the lights built in, with rechargeable battery pack, telescope handle, and recessed wheels. They sell for about $150.00 to $200.00 and come complete with mic and tripod. Set wherever and all you need to do so is bluetooth your smart phone and the show is on! How this hasn't already impacted any DJs yet can only wonder.

Hey Brian, great job as usual. I was thinking if you needed the bigger Maui system for a larger crowd you could just rent them.

Awesome video Brian! You running the evolve 50s with a dbx drive rack? Or are they good to go just plugged into the DJ controller? Thanks and I hope to purchase the evolves in the near future!

So far, from what I saw, aside from some cool musical instruments amd guitar pedals and such, there was also some really cool things at NAMM that weren't new products....
I saw a video of a jam session, with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Slash, and I believe Cheap Trick was another part of it... Another video showed a big drum circle outside, I'm guessing using a lot of Remo, Toca, LP, and other percussion bramds products. I would guess cool stuff like this happens every NAMM show, someday I need to make it there if possible...
As far as DJ stuff, the big standout to me, was Denon and their new Prime stuff, as well as the progress it seems they're making with the Engine software ecosystem. The new players looked awesome, as well as the updated mixer, but I'm probably still in the SC5000 user category for now... The Prime 2 and Prime GO were very interesting. Not necessarily something that is for me or high on my list at the moment, but definitely interesting stuff, and shows Denon DJ making yet even more progress with their lineup.
Lastly, you talked about the Evolve 30M being useful for certain cases where you might need in pl utsnforna hamdful of mics, pr to mix a small band, etc...for such cases, I still have my eye on the Behringer X-Air 18, it's like a stage box format digital mixer that is app controlled. For people that already have a PA system, especially a scalable one with some flexibility in it's use, the X-Air seems great, and relatively affordable.
One thing I hoped to see, was a Mk2 or replacement for the GoRack product... but no dice....

Keep rockin bro!
