I was 61 and diagnosed AML. 10% chance of survival. Give round 1 standard chemo. Offered an experimental drug I researched. Said NO. I chose to take the standard chemo drip drugs. that was nearly 12 years ago. Last Jan my Hematologist pronounced me CURED. A HUMONGOUS THANK YOU to each and everyone from nurses to the Extraordinary RESEARCHERS. THANK YOU for gifting me extended

My son was 19 when he was diagnoswd with AML in 2019. His outlook fell in the intermediate risk category. He did not require a stem cell transplant. Hes now 23 and married with a baby. Deo Gratias!

He talks about younger people and older people. My nephew, age 51, was just diagnosed with either AML or MDS after a bone marrow biopsy and will receive chemo for 28 to 30 days. We are hoping and praying for a cure. I guess he falls into the younger group since chemo has been prescribed . Update: more testing. it is AML with TP53. We are very concerned. He is a big man, 6’5” and around 300 pounds. Praying for a cure!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 He has been told it is terminal! 6 months to 1 year to live. So sad!

Back in October 2024, we had to say goodbye to a dear friend who lost his battle to AML at 25. He fought the hardest battle for 9 months, it's crazy how fast it took his life.

Diagnosed with AML in 2002, I was 45 at the time. I was told I had a prognosis with life expectancy of 5 years. That was 23 years ago, now I' closing in on 68 and still in remission.

My grandpa was diagnosed with AML… and then 31 days later he was pronounced dead. It moved so fast… he was in good health before this… daily walks, gardening, etc… it’s hard to wrap my head around… we said goodbye on Sunday. So, so weird…

Wow, not much hope. It would be nice to have a rich sister who would pay for an extended vacation where the girls are gorgeous and the fishing is remarkable, otherwise I’m in despair 😮

Why in the world would someone with AML or some other type of leukemia want to prolong their suffering?! Especially after 2 failed rounds of IV chemo treatments!😷🙄🩸
