Is it journalism to show the disadvantages only? Please also tell that the Twizy consumes 90 percent less energy as a traditional car, is noiseless, has no emission, and takes very little space on streets.

Biggest problem of the review of this vehicle  is treating it as a car which will instantly highlight all the things it is not. It is not a car, it is more like a moped with four wheels. Treating it like a moped will bring forth all the things it actually is. Which is more safe than a moped, more stable, electric, fun, room for a second person which will not need to cling on to you for dear life. etc. Especially that, just loads of et cetera. However... This is Fifth Gear. I imagine the job interviews  would include soaking yourself in petrol and catwalk in front of Jeremy Clarkson. But to take the edge out of the irony, spite and sarcasm I will end on a positive note: Bicycle.

there is a window option for those living under agressive climate, why not mentioning it?

£45 a month for batteries, that's more than I spend on petrol for my Citroen c1 a month! Nice idea and looks cute but the biggest problem with it, especially living in the UK is lack of windows! How crazy not to include them!

missing the point vicky, its way safer than a bike, and is a very practical alternative.

I got to drive one recently on a nice sunny day and it was pretty fun. The one I was in had zip up clear plastic covers to take the place of windows for bad weather though. It was like the canvas and windows on a boat. Not the most elegant, but it does solve the issue of being protected from the weather at least.

The Twizy makes a lot more sense when you realize that it's a super-scooter. Granted, it's really expensive for a scooter. Having a petrol version would lower the price a bit and get rid of the battery lease.

If this had 30% more range, windows and A/C I would buy it, but deamn is like they don't want us to change to Electric.

There are companies out there that make custom windows for these things but even still, as mentioned in the video, these little guys should not be seen as cars but as a more luxurious alternative to a scooter.

Does the Twizy have a drain plug so rainwater can get out if you're forced to drive in a storm?

Strongly considering this as an option for my "second car" my commute to work is just a bit too long to cycle and my wife would benefit from the main car being available at home. I recon I could lease one for the cost of petrol per month, BUT the battery lease is putting me off, I wonder if that is separate to in a lease...

I wanna buy it will it come with a steering wheel or is that also 'optional extra'?

Old video and mutch have changed, window issue fixed with new one released. Noise can be fixed with airplugs. A loud soundsystem in your ordinary car makes you deaf to noise around. Driving a motorcycle all year long the wind sound around the helmet is so loud you can absolutly loose your hearing. So plugs are sold to cut down on the noise in every motorcycle shop. Also common for people on Scooter/Motorcycle to play music to drown out the noise. No problem with freezing around 0C on a motorcycle with infrared powerbank driven heated clothes. My wife just bought a Twizy however. She saves on expensive toll through undersea tunnel, since it's free for the Twizy in Norway. The Twizy is the future, brilliant.

Looks like someone doesn't like looking into the details.
1) The battery is rented for 3 years for the longest lease, can be rented up to a year.
2) A softer suspension would equate to bouncy, unstable and unperforming handling (older Smart ForTwo for example).
3) The windowless doors can come with a manufacturer or third-party aftermarket windows. The car that is aimed to be an alternative to motorbikes, scooters and bikes. A lack of doors never stopped them from being popular.

She's getting a feel of what it's like to cycle in London, just without the effort, sweatiness and filtering, lol. I think it might be good for more drivers to get such an experience to realise how smelly exhausts are and how scary it is to be passed too close.

I found this to be an informative and fair review, and though the lack of windows from factory can be cured easily I like the way you have to breathe in the same air and have the same deafening sound as the pedestrians and cyclists around you.
