I am super impressed with these 90 Tooth Ratchets from Gearwrench. They have been working great for me over the past month of testing. I am finding more and more reasons to have wrenches with more teeth because they are more versatile.

To be honest, I think anything 72 tooth or greater is well and good. The classic 32 tooth I still use, just not where the space issues you illustrate are present. I prefer the snap ring design of your new 90 tooth vs the 2 screw retention of the older one. Those screws can work their way loose and cause inner mechanism damage. Great video, and the fact that you disassembled both is appreciated.

I always like their 84 tooth ratchet. Don't really see the advantage of the new 90 over the 84. Don't get me wrong, I think these 90s are nice, but, if you already have the 84, why change?

I love Gearwrench ratchets and torque wrenches. But when it comes to ratchets, it’s all about the 90 tooth MAC Axis ratchets.
