I kinda miss unlockables. Having everything unlocked at the start is kinda lame. Mario kart Wii has the best unlocks in my opinion. It literally forces you to explore the entire game to unlock everyone, and made seeing certain characters exciting

You know that Kamek is a guy right? Not that it matters much in modern Mario lore, mattered more in the Yoshi’s Island series, where he was seen as Bowser’s adopted father, and there was more of a paternal rather than maternal bond

Imma be real they should add a character slot "the koopalings" and then you pick ur koopaling like a yoshi variation so they don't take up 10 PERCENT OF THE FLIPPIN SLOTS MAN

A few of my own predictions:
-Spike: He's already a playable character in sports and party games. Why not add him to Mario Kart?
-Pianta: He's been watching from the sidelines for years. It's time he hops in a kart himself.
-Toadsworth: He's more than just a toad variant, he's a unique fleshed out character and has been missing for far too long.
-Cranky Kong: Nintendo seems to have big plans for the Donkey Kong series, and Cranky Kong is a super relevant character with appearances in the movie and Tropical Freeze.
-The Broodles: They're a much much more likely callback to Odyssey than the Shiverian Racer, as neat as they would be too. The Broodles are like a more distinctive version of the Koopalings and I'd love to see more of them.
-Babies Pauline, Wario, and Waluigi: The babies have always been kinda random, so this just standardizes it so all the main human characters have baby variants.

Koopa General from the Mario Movie will be in this game. No way they turn the Blue Shell into a character only to not put him in Mario Kart. Oh, and Baby Pauline is coming.

Characters not mentioned that I would love to get added would be: Spike (not movie one but from SMB3 and onwards), Ninji (from SMB2 who became playable in Mario Golf SS & SMP Jamboree), Cappy (from Odyssey), Prince Florian (from SMB Wonder), Toadsworth (from Sunshine and onwards), Fawful (from Mario & Luigi series), Boom Boom (from SMB3 and onwards), Snifit (from SMB2, maybe too much alike Shy Guy but appeared in the Mario Movie), Mouser (boss from SMB2), Bandit (from SMW2 and onwards)

I just really hope the roster will be more diverse and various. The biggest nitpick that I, and pretty sure everyone else, have with MK8 (before the BCP) is that there's too many spots filled with characters *_THAT NOBODY WANTED!_* Instead of giving us ones like Hammer Bro and Blooper, they gave us Tanooki Mario and Pink Gold Peach.

The fact that one of these arguments can be applied to both is really telling to the bias in this. It is your prediction so it's fine, but having conclusions to near identical situations is crazy imo
