Fun little fact: it’s actually theorized that the breathing coming from catnaps cutout could actually be Theodore on life support after the green hand accident.

(If you play with the audio it sounds like a child struggling to breathe)

personally, I think the cutout should be something similar to the pig and unicorn's cutouts. Sweet at first, then reveals they are completely insane compared to the other cutouts. (Hi! I'm CatNap! you see to be a bit tired, want to take a nap? -> You should have been sleeping a long while ago. I'LL MAKE YOU SLEEP RIGHT NOW.) or something like that.

i have a theory on how this catnap died.
this talking catnap might have not supported to prototype, or maybe hated it.
therefore, they warn the player to leave. "you shouldn't be here. Go, before its to late.."
the prototype must have found him after catnap said this, and may have attacked catnaps tail,
my best guess is burning it so he feels more pain, the screaming sounds like it.

Honestly, it should be like the other ones where it starts off all nice and being kind before it slowly becomes a bit creepy and then a line of the character screaming or a serious voice line such as Catbee where she doesn’t scream but turns serious, whereas the other characters scream on their last one. (Just my opinion tho.)

EDIT: Apparently he has a calming presence to the other critters and makes sure his friends sleep soundly, or that’s what supposedly makes them happy. (The little description with the rest of the smiling critters have their own.)


Voice lines could be something along the lines of greeting and then telling them to get their daily rest. “Hey I’m Catnap! Make sure to get a bunch of rest and sleep!”

And then they could talk about the importance of sleeping and regaining energy. Like… “Resting is important, but don’t become lazy!” Or it could be about them checking on the player. “How are you? Did you get enough sleep and rest today?” (Around 8-10 hours.)

And then just add a few more lines that go along with that, maybe asking the player what they like to sleep or rest the most. “Whats your favorite pillow?” Or maybe “What’s your favorite resting spot? We can sleep there together!”

And then it slowly gets creepy. Maybe something about how sleeping or resting leaves you vulnerable. Before they do the scream or he can do the warning or serious line.

“Sleeping leaves you vulnerable. Please… be careful.” Or “Keep your guard up before you sleep! You don’t want something bad happening, do you?”
