Good job on blurring the DM signs. Only forgot a majority of them xD

In Spain is the same. Any medicine you want/need is in pharmacies, and drugstores sell cleaning products and that stuff, but there are almost no drugstores (at least in my zone)

I feel the need to let everyone know that "toiletries" is a normal word to US Americans, and the majority of us will not, in fact, think you're talking about literal toilets 😅

I believe the Netherlands is one of the few countries in Europe you can buy Ibuprofen or Paracetamol in the supermarket.

In the US the pharmacy is in the drug store they are not separate buildings. As for ibuprofen and acetaminophen you can buy large bottles of both for less than $20 just about anywhere.

Same in Ireland and most European countries.
In Aldi- Lidl you can get paracetamol but only a limited amount

Drug store in the u.s. Is just another term for pharmacy, but you can get most common over the counter meds at grocery stores, convenience stores, even liqueur stores, why? Because it would be a horrible waste of time and gas to run around to a bunch of stores just to get everything on the shopping list.

This makes me think of the guys who almost died because he thought a 1000 pack of ibuprofen was a course and needed to take all of it consecutively

In the UK we have a store called “Boots” that sell everything (drug, daily tools, food) except Boots.

I'm from France, not Germany. But when I moved to Canada it's honestly one of the thing that shocked me the most.
Like I can buy toilet paper AND medication in the same store? What is going on?

You can this stuff everywhere in Poland. Grocery store, gas station etc. Harder stuff of course you either need a prescribtion to buy at actual pharmacy store or you get it from your doctor.

Tbh, looking for a pharmacy in Europe is as easy as looking for a green cross sign (I was in Switzerland at the time) and yes a pharmacist has to advise you on certain medications and sometimes a prescription is required.
Back home, we have a less rigid standard but we do have to give identification and residential address for tracing purposes since medication is still regulated to a degree here.

If they mostly sell toiletries and it shouldn't be a drugstore it should be a bath store
