If you use the splints, will it just stop the deformity while wearing or like actually treat the deformity WITHOUT the need of the splint?

So i jave a very rare swan neck deformity on 3 of my toes (i have hEDS), Im looking for a solution like this for them. Would this block normal flexion from walking? Or could something like this be made short enough to not block the metatarsophalangeal joint from flexing? We are trying to avoid surgery as long as possible and i feel like metal splints like we use for fingers are too rigid amd hard on the underside

Will wearing that help correct this issue issu, or when it comes off it goes rite back. Is surgery the only option.

Should i be concerned about this? Growing up i used to think it was just normal, both my hands's fingers look like that, i can even form my hand to look like a claw machine from the arcade
