the lack of any other instruments besides the acoustic guitar adds to the feeling that he plays for no one, only to himself. the feeling of loneliness, isolation and peace, somehow. one of my favourite albums of all time. it's so comforting when you're going through things in your life.

I have heard a lot of albums, but Pink Moon has always stood out to me as a deep, haunting, melancholy, and meaningful album. His use of chords, progressions, and lyrics paints for the listener an image of longing and yearning with some contentment and contemplation on life. RIP Nick. I wish I could have known more of your music and heard your future productions.

This record grows on me more as I’ve listened to it. There’s a sweet subtlety to the vocals and guitars that I appreciate - even on Five Leaves Left, with the gorgeous string arrangements.

As you say in your final words, the story around this album (and Nick’s music) is devastating. I wish he was here to see the acclaim his work garnered over the years.
