Entebbe grade one Magistrate’s court has remanded Rev. Father Dominic Alinga to Kigo Government Prison up to 26th August, 2024, over two counts of murder and attempted murder.
Alinga appeared before the Entebbe Grade 1 magistrate, Lilian Mazimwe, for mention of the charges against him, but was not granted permission to say anything since the alleged offences can only be tried before the high court.
On the first count of murder, Alinga is alleged to have stabbed URA officer, John Bosco Ngorok, last Saturday in Entebbe while in car, after getting a misunderstanding over an alleged 11 million shillings debt he owed Ngorok.
On the second count of attempted murder, Alinga is alleged to have attempted to kill Tonny Abigaba, a boda Boda rider, who tried to rescue Ngorok in the scuffle when he knocked them down, blocking them from accessing the Entebbe Regional referral hospital.
He was represented by his lawyer, Bamulutira Edward from B Edward and Company advocates.
