I found that art bit especially hilarious (I am an artist). I'm not one to beg for attention by complaining about a minor error, but I do know a lot of artists who are like that. I've got friends who will sometimes say "oh no I made a mistake :(" so I tell them to throw the whole thing away lol. It's all in good fun. They usually learn from it or ask me for help.

Weirdly enough though, I knew a guy (not an artist) and any time I would sketch something and TELL him it was a sketch, he'd go "what do you mean!! that's really good, it's basically a finished piece!!" and the first time it's sweet and funny... the second time it has worn off... and by the third time I realized he was being fully serious and thought I was trying to say my art was bad. Like, sir, no, I'm just that good of an artist; my sketches are going to look really good. That's part of mastering art. Needless to say I found him so annoying that I quit talking to him after the 50th "but it's so good!" I ain't some compliment seeker tf!!

I used to be one of these people and I hated it. I realize that I knew something wasn’t really “bad” but I just wanted someone to give me reassurance. It wasn’t healthy and I’m grateful I’ve grown past that.
