Loreena Mckeennitt has been my all time favourite musician/artist for many years. Her version of the highway man has never been one of my best loved songs of hers but then I heard Karliene’s version 6 months ago! What a ride! I lost count of how many times I listened to it. This was the first song I heard from Loreena, and it still is one of my favourites. It showed me that you could tell a story with a song, and I really fell in love with it. This is also why I love your music, you create really good stories in your songs. I'm excited to hear the song (and the rest of the album!) when it comes out!

Just so you know, this new project of yours has inspired me to revisit an old project of my own, where I was writing songs based on my favorite book. I just discovered you today and when I saw you had done an album on this peom I pretty much squealed in dleight. I read this poem when I was 13 i highschool and it just captured my imagination, it's become a poem I return to alot. I always hoped to do a series of paintings to go with it but everytime I think about it I'm certian I'm not good enough...yet.

You have such a nice, calming voice! You are wonderful singer, but we all knew that long ago. However your speaking and story-telling voice is so compelling! It gave all the Higwayman legends so much atmosphere and feeling, as Marianne Dashwood would say. I bet she would love to hear you read poetry and prose...:)
