I had my period for 17 months due to a blood disorder. I had tried everything, but nothing helped. I bought a Bloodstone, actually with the intention of courage and self-confidence. After a day I stopped bleeding! A week later, doctors found me medication. Bloodstone has since become my favorite stone.

I had no idea that Oynx, Agates, Jasper and Bloodstone were in the chalcedony family. All are just beautiful.

I am a saphire miner and general fossicker. In days gone by a prospector is what I would be called . Anyway any and every gem is worth the effort. Stories, Myths an legend accompany all gems . It is an addiction, once you have the prospecting bug, it is yours for ever.

Before you're show I was unaware that the green color in bloodstone is due to chlorite, nor that the red in the stone is due to hematite or iron oxide. My favorite chalcedony would have to be the species namesake, chalcedony. I like the mineral's translucent, transcendent, blue-grey hue. I love green chrysoprase and agates are pretty cool too. I guess I just can't make up my mind which one I like the best

When I was kid my mom got a bloodstone pendulum. I've loved this stone ever since. I heard somewhere that the red spots was caused by rust deposits staining it

I was told bloodstone can warn upcoming danger. It turns dark, then after the danger passed it returns to natural color
