I thought it was worth it. I paid $420 to upgrade roundtrip flights from Houston to Kilimanjaro via Amsterdam and back. That's with each flight ranging from 8.5 hours to 11.5 hours. Total air time = 39.5 hours. I signed up for their frequent flyer program to get a discount on the upgrade. I thought the seats were more comfortable since I had more leg room and more recline, which makes a big difference to me in overnight flights.

If you're over 1.90m tall you have three options :
- Sit on the isle in economy and be flexible in standing up and walking/streching
- Spend the extra money for economy comfort
- Be quick and book the front row economy seats
- Sit at emergency exit seats
- Ask flight crew to sit in one of the kitchens when you're allowed to walk around

... sitting over 6h straight in economy seats is pure pain for tall legs. I'm surprised the country with the tallest people hasn't found an economic solution yet.

Complete rip-off by KLM. Other European airlines offer a better economy plus such as Lufthansa or Austrian. Why put the the same amount of seats in row like economy? If you already have the tight 3-3-3 on the 787, then put at least 2-4-2 or even 2-3-2 on Economy comfort.

KLM economy comfort is a joke... it's way overpriced, and it's shit... normal economy classes from other air operators are even better than KLM economy comfort LOL... Before I was a loyal customer flying business and economy very often, last flights KLM treated me as a loyal customer like a piece of shit. KLM, You've lost a customer! :D

These KLM seats look sooo cheap. Air France and other airlines are much better
