A Chat with Greg Fryer & Shaun Klinger. Working Together, Treble Boosters, Red Special and Brian May

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting a visit from Greg Fryer and Shaun Klinger, both titans of guitar gear and old friends of mine. Greg is famous for his work with Brian May - Red Special replicas and treble boosters, amp mods, Deacy Amp replicas, etc - while Shaun has built a global reputation as one of the best fuzz (and other pedal genres) builders around as well as being a serious gun guitarist, composer and singer. Now they're collaborating on some of Greg's future releases so I thought it might be fun to have a chat about it. Here 'tis!

My word! This is fantastic! Huge Queen fan, Brian May literally changed the approach I took to guitar and to tone. Big fan of treble boosters too, they are so underrated. Thanks for this!

Oh boy! How awesome! I always wanted a Greg Fryer Red Special, but of course I'm not Brian May, so i don't get one!! haha That being said, I'm on the waiting list for a Brian May Guitars Red Special Super, whenever they get around to it. Hopefully I'll have the money when they notify me that I'm next in line. lol

I would buy a Klinger Treble Booshta in a fartbeat! His 'Omnidrive' has a pretty good one, though!
