The sixth SpaceX cargo mission to the International Space Station (ISS) under NASA's Commercial Resupply Services contract launched at 3:10:41 CDT April 14, from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
It is loaded with more than 4,300 pounds of scientific experiments, technology demonstrations and supplies, including critical materials to support science and research investigations that will take place on the space station during Expeditions 42 and 43.
SpaceX is also attempting to soft land the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket on a barge off shore of the Florida coast.
