Chocolate Math Challenges are designed for elementary children through high school. For children ages 7 and younger, the Chocolate Math Challenge JUNIOR introduces a variety of fundamental math skills and concepts.

Chocolate Math Challenges reveal the fun in problem solving and critical thinking, incorporate STEM activities, teach math modeling used in common core aligned curricula, build fundamental and advanced math skills in a playful way, and leave your kids asking for more.

WHY the Chocolate Math Challenge?
The Chocolate Math Challenge is simply a means to an end. The reward for working through various mathematical challenges is . . . well, chocolate! An association between the positive feelings surrounding getting a piece of chocolate and the hard work and perseverance it takes to solve math problems might just turn around your child’s whole attitude about math!
Who doesn’t want more confidence in approaching and solving math problems? While the short term reward is chocolate, in the long run this confidence in math will be a means to a more important end: Making A's in math, Solving engineering problems, and confidently approaching problems not only math but in all areas of life.

HOW to participate in the Chocolate Math Challenge:
Just put the weekly problem up at home on Friday and challenge your kids to solve it for chocolate! Check back a couple of days later for the video answer, and make sure to have chocolate on hand for all correct answers!
