Lecture 22: Introduction to conformal mappings

We introduce the topic of conformal mappings by proving that if f is holomorphic on a domain D and also is injective then f' has no zeros on D and the inverse of f is also holomorphic. We recall that conformal mappings locally preserve angles. We then introduce the Mobius transforms that map the disk to the half plane and back.
