THE LION BEY RETURNS! | Leon Claw 5-60P Starter Pack (BX-15) Unboxing & Test Battles! | Beyblade X

King and LeonClaw were introduced in chapter 4 of the Beyblade X manga and they're both looking really cool! Every Beyblade saga has released a Bey with an avatar representing a wild cat and Beyblade X is no different. LeonClaw is a balance type like Shelter Regulus from Beyblade Burst, but it performs much better than the former 😂. Takara Tomy advertises a "double motion" ability with this Bey, capable of aggressive attacks or a more stationary, defensive play style. Being a balance type, LeonClaw is good at both attacking and defending, but a master of neither, like many other balance types.

Leone, Regulus...IS THAT YOU?! 😂 Great to see a Bey with a lion avatar return after so many years. King and LeonClaw already look really cool in the manga, and will probably look even better in the anime. What do you think about this Bey's parts and design? Do you like that it's a balance type or would you prefer it to be something else? It's still very early in Beyblade X, so the abilities of each release aren't that impressive for now...but will we see a LeonClaw evolution?

This bey has the most badass look out of all the X beys. All 3 parts of LeonClaw have a special feature and I love it for that.

I remember coming across a short showing that you don't want to hard launch a defense type (or was it a stamina type) because it tends to self-KO. Instead you want to light launch so that it ends up in the center. I guess in the case of LeonClaw, you have 4 choices of how you want to launch it. Light or Hard combined with lean or flat. Light and flat, stationary. Hard and flat, extreme line. Hard and lean, I guess more chaotic movement but not necessarily catching the extreme line. Light and lean, I am not sure, perhaps a flower or maybe it circles. Would need some testing I guess

Leon claw take inspiration from previous lion -theme Beyblade
Galeon, black, balance bey
Rock Leone, green and white, defence bey
Fang leone, green and white, defence bey, has counter mode
Shelter Regulus, navy blue, balance bey

The lion blade has defence and attacks feature, somewhat similar to fang leone feature defence and counter mode. The blade design also looks somewhat a swirling twister from the top, rock Leone special moves includes tornado and twisters

The black rachet gets from galeon colour scheme, 5 point rachet from regulus 5disc and star frame,

The bit is somewhat similar to wave wide defence performance tip of fang leone where at certain angles the bey movement around the stadium increase.

I think it’s funny that each part this bey reminds reminds me of a part from burst. Leon Claw = Shelter Regulus 5 60 = meteor P = Unite

I find it so amusing that they returned to MFB-style hold parts, but added a third part for stability. Back in 2014, I was disqualified from a tourney because a bey fell off the prongs before the countdown. I still hate that guy, and I know I'd have made it to the finals considering most were competing with stock combos.
