Radiohead - There There Guitar Lesson

Radiohead "There There" guitar lesson. The next Riff of the Day uses the Bearfoot FX Emerald Green Distortion Machine to replicate the edgy guitar tone from Thom Yorke. The main guitar uses an alternate tuning where the low E is dropped to D and the A is pitched up to B (DBDGBE). This tuning gives the song its jangly quality and makes it so you only have to fret a couple notes at a time. There are still challenges with this tuning since some strings must be muted to avoid an overly dissonant sound. Enjoy your Riff of the Day guitar lesson!

finally someone who actually plays the damn song right. most people play it in standard tuning which is ass. i remember when i was younger i'd analyze the shit out of a few live performances and managed to guess the tuning through his hand positions. glad people dont need to do what i did anymore cuz it was fucking tedious. had to do the same for an animal collective song once too cuz it's a bizarre tuning and all the tabs are standard tuning, or at least they were at the time, haven't checked since
