Drones Swarms have awesome military capabilities.

Imagine, a la the hardware overrides detailed in the Snowden leaks, a backdoor that allows government to commandeer a fleet of, say, commercial delivery drones and to use them in some kamikaze mission. Imagine non-commercial (i.e., miltary) UAVs weaponized with hand-grenades, all swarming to create a carpet bombing effect. And so on.

UUVs could swarm to resemble a school of fish that itself engages in underwater surveillance or attacks.

Colonies of ground-based robocritters could infest a building, or surround some perimeter, either to survey or to leave deadly substances.

Drones are bad, m'kay.
