Diameter always makes an angle of 90 degree at the circumference of a circle. A theorem I read in 10th standard. But I never thought that it can have such a practicle application, as you demonstrated in 3rd demo. Guru ho dost tum. 😁😁

People should have to take out a licence to use words such as "amazing", "awesome" "mind blowing" etc. It might prevent misuse of these words to describe these tawdry tips.

To prevent a finish nail from splitting wood, you can blunt the pointed tip by turning the nail upside down, and giving the point 2 or 3 taps. This changes the tip from a pointed wedge, which separates the wood, to a square, cutting tip, which will drive cleanly through it without splitting.

What species of wood is the stripped screw in? I have some but can't figure out what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

i liked it, not all great but i mostly enjoyed it... now then, having read the 250 odd comments below from people that some are craftsmen..cabinet makers.. or just plain knew some of the things on here. Then i would like to say just because you knew this stuff dosn't mean that we ' the others' should too. so to conclude..get over yourselves!
this is useful to most and dosn't give you the right to be nasty or big headed. If those who i am commenting about think your so great they why havn't you done videos to show us all how gloriously clever you are.
p.s. i went through the negative commenters videos to see what there contribution to the world was... guess what. Zero, mostly garbage

No matter what some people here are in disagreement about this video not having anything new to learn, but for me it was very helpful. This is depending on the situation. I have never worked with wood before so for newbies like me and as a female I think it was a good thing to learn 👍😊.

Item number one, free plastic spreader available in most DIY stores, or come free with product that needs spreading, I think you have too much time on your hands, but if it makes you happy rock on.

Cabinetmaker 42 years. I can't think of any reason to nail a thin strip of scrap wood onto a piece of hardwood whether it splits or not

Tip; if you fix your vise to a secure bench and hold the metal low in the jaws, filing goes better and more smoothly

Muchas Gracias, #2 yo uso un disco usado para reducir el diámetro y no lastimar la madera o lo que esté al rededor del tornillo.

Note to people filing metal: Do NOT file on the backstroke, you will drastically reduce the life of the file.
You don't have to file a piece of steel to make a glue-spreader, just use an old hacksaw blade.
