My first car in December 1971 was a 1962 Australian assembled ID19 in the same colour as this car.
I am now on my 17th Citroen 50 years later - 1990 2CV6 Charleston & 2019 C4 Cactus. Totally addicted.

I have owned and driven ID and DS since 1972, so I know what a superior car it is. Now I own a DS 23 IE Pallas from 1974. My dreamcar!

Also, don't forget that it was Citroën that invented the entire CAD field: B-spline curves and surfaces. A mathematician at Citroën named Paul de Casteljau (died about 1 year ago, he was 91) discovered B-splines but the manufacturer did not allow him to publish his results because of the competitive advantage. So it happened that some years later another mathematician, Pierre Bézier, re-invented those things and published them, so they now bear his name. Paul de Casteljau also discovered another concept which he also did not publish at the time and which _also_ was re-discovered by someone else: the concept of "blossoming". Anyway, Citroën was way ahead.
