These are Crocs. And a lot of people think they’re really ugly. People who love to hate Crocs had cause to celebrate in 2008, when investors were writing the company off as a passing fad. Crocs lost over $185 million that year and cut 2,000 jobs. The stock plunged to just over $1 a share from a high of about $69 a year earlier.

But over the next decade, Crocs would go on to sell 700 million pairs of shoes worldwide. Recently, the clogs have have been strutting down runways at luxury fashion shows. Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Post Malone are wearing the shoes. It’s a top brand among Gen Z. And limited edition Crocs are selling for up to $1,000 on the resale market. Crocs have become... a collector’s item.

Im a nurse, I started wearing crocs even before I graduated. I switched to sneakers for a while because of back pain but since coronavirus I went back to my crocs because its easy to bleach/clean after work.

Y’all didn’t even mention at the end how they have been supporting health care workers by giving out free pairs of crocs every day since the pandemic started! A lot of my coworkers have been so excited when they won a free pair! We all come in to work and ask each other if we have signed up for the free pair yet. Haha it’s crazy, but it’s a cool thing they are doing!

3 reasons i'm still using Crocs:

Comfortable (for simple walk)
Durable( my 6 years old Crocs still doing fine)
Unique ( some people might think it is ugly but at least it looks different than others so that's why it's unique)

As a person with high arches and wide feet I LOVE crocs. I could never wear birkenstocks or other sandals because they were so painful!

I live in South East Asia where we always have typhoons during monsoon season. Initially I balked at the though of wearing anything that ugly. But then someone gave a pair to me as a gift, and they were put to test during monsoon season. Imagine not being afraid of ruining your shoes when it rains hard. Flood? I can walk home thank you very much. Just wash and rinse and they are good to go.

Never liked crocs until I bought a pair and they’ve actually been helping my 10+ year painful foot problem that nothing else has seemed to help much with. The most comfortable things ever, I don’t even care how they look. The bumps on the insoles also seem to help with circulation. Crazy but they’re working for me, wish I knew sooner lol

Bought a pair two months ago and love them! Always thought they were ugly and changed my mind after seeing them being worn by students and staff at my school. I am a middle school teacher and they are so comfortable. I now own two pair and buying my third and fourth pair today. They are amazing!

I had some mary jane style crocs and they were really comfortable. IDGAF if people don't like them. Comfort comes before anyone's opinion lol
