When I was 15 I took the picture of Till from Herzeleid CD jacket to a Great Clips in rural Wisconsin and asked the lady if she could give me that hairstyle. She looked at the picture and her eyes widened slightly and she said, "Ooooh? I s'pose, " and proceeded to give me the most generic haircut of all time.

I remember reading in an interview, Till said he actually got nerves on stage and these early shows makes it more believable, it seems he has difficulty looking at the crowd directly and seems a lot less comfortable than we usually see him today, apparently all the stage gimmicks was there to distract the crowd from him originally as well put on a performance obviously.

If its true then you've got to give the guy credit for always putting on a show and definitely growing in confidence over the years, as now it's hard to believe he ever suffered with stage fright.
