i knew my patches were melasma too. i’m fitzpatrick 2-3 and asian descent and what you described EXACTLY happens to me. i get a patch of red that turns into that super faint melasma patch. anytime i bring it up, my aestheticians are like i don’t see anything/it’s so faint/im overthinking it… but i SEE it bright and day. luckily it’s in a spot where contour would sit, so it does add shadow in most lighting….

I find that I really helps if I use whitening serum a week or 2 after my treatment to help suppress melanin from forming.

what I find weird is I had the melasna in the middle of my forehead, but now it moved :D my forehead is absolutely fine now with no treatment, but it moved to the sides of my forehead :D :D oh man, I don't think I can get rid of it but I'm coming to terms with it
