This is, in my opinion, a very underrated game. It's a shame it didn't find more of an audience.

I think Tom accidentally sort of misrepresents the play a bit. It isn't a speed game, which someone may take from the ending, but played by the players taking turns laying cards until 1 person attacks. Turns can go very quick once you understand the game, but it isn't a fastest play contest. I know Tom didn't say it outright or infer it, just thought it was worth clearing up for any that may have misunderstood the game play.

@WilliB1969 thanks for that. i thought of it that way, when he went drumming with both his hands. anyway, i thought i will never think of playing this game because of the perceived complexity, but this explanation actually made me think again!

One of the factions is a giant mech? I think these guys took some inspiration from Giants: Citizen Kabuto.

I really wanted to love this game, but I felt it fell flat in a couple ways. The way victory points are scored prior to combat resolution made it feel like all the time building up forces didn't lead to anything. It all led to an anti-climactic finish. Also, the art on the building cards could have been more interesting.

The other components and theme are really cool, as are the stories behind the factions and the multiple rulebooks. Maybe a few more plays will change my mind!
