I asked Ryan up for a trip to see Simon and his home-built project plane - a Sling 4. My favourite co-pilot was dealing with home duties, so Ryan got the gig.
It seems like BSV's Autopilot has some issues - the reference to "I'm sick of this" was when the autopilot was in "swing" mode - traveling either side of Flight Planned Track by anything up to 90 degrees. Maybe time for an avionics check.
Nice day apart from a strong northerly. Happy enough with the landing. Ryan got a bit of air time - he's yet to solo, but has some flight experience which is always helpful. Well done Ryan!
The trip back got me into all sorts of trouble (next video). I busted controlled airspace due to concentrating on sorting out the autopilot issue. Lesson - Fly the plane first!!
