Hmmm thank you for this video. I went to Riu when you did in August been to Riu about 7 times but only 1 for Chic.. In general.. price for Riu is much less.. I pay usually about $110 a night... Chic I paid $169.
Drinks are better set up for Chic.. but it's all inclusive and just order a extra shot at Riu per drink.
Chic has better room.. both are clean but Chic is newer.
Partys are better at Riu.. 4 days/nights of the week.
Beach is better at Riu by far
Food is good with both.. but for Price.. Riu
Pools are nice for both.
Overall adults only both.. but Riu is mostly 20s-40s Chic 40s-60s cause of the price.
Overall for Price.. Riu for sure and better beach Riu Republca 8.5 out of 10 Chic 7.5 as beach is difference and crowd

Nothing can compare to Riu, they all are low quality. Any resort can beat them and Royalton is out of their league. Riu Republica is only good for partying maybe, but nothing special. Been there like 6 times

Only thing I like at chic over republica is the Jr. swim up room other than that riu republica is a no brainer cheaper more food options beach is blue, drinks are ok just ask for it to be made stronger and tip and you will be all good. customer service is great at both

Neither hotel is very big? Riu Republica has 1400 rooms lol. I consider that very huge.
