Close working relationship between political leadership, public service key: DPM Lawrence Wong

Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said a close working relationship between Singapore's political leadership and the public service is key to sustaining good results for the nation. At the Public Service Leadership ceremony, he added that this partnership is grounded in mutual trust and respect, and based on a shared understanding to build a better Singapore together. Mr Wong also reassured that the political leadership will not allow "populist politics, race politics, or money politics" to take root in Singapore.

From the top, the ruling elites outsourced their responsibilities to senior ciivl servants, then they start to delegate responsibilities downward within the civil services. Eventually, the responsibilities are outsourced to incompetent private contractors. Paper scholars think this is cost saving and productivity improvement.
But, actually, the so called productivity improvement is achieved by transferring the costs and inconveniences to the people.
This angmoh kia is a part of this big problem.
