JDR Celebrates 100 Years in 2019 - Harold Harold Sgan-Cohen

IADR and AADR announce that 2019 marks the Centennial of the Journal of Dental Research (JDR)! Over the last century, the JDR has disseminated the newest information and published research on the fundamental and applied basis of dental care, driving new concepts into clinical practice. To celebrate, the JDR will feature a yearlong commemorative article series and a podcast series that highlights topics that have transformed dental, oral and craniofacial research over the past 100 years.

In honor of the JDR's Centennial in 2019, the IADR is highlighting members' perspectives on what the journal has meant to their careers and how it has helped transform dental, oral and craniofacial research over the past 100 years. IADR Member Harold Sgan-Cohen, a professor in public health dentistry at The Hebrew University - Hadassah, Jerusalem, Israel, takes a look back at the JDR's early focus and discusses how it has become an integral part of the dental profession
