I love this knife. I have owned almost every ZT /Rexford model and this one is my favorite. This is as close as I’ll ever get to owning a Todd rexford

That's a Great Knife, one of my favorite ZT's in my collection. When I saw you were reviewing it, I ran and got mine, just Awesome . The one problem I had to fix, that you also pointed out, was the lack of sharpening choil, so I made one with my Dremmel and what a difference, it looks fantastic, almost factory, and the blade looks 100% better, I recommend that anyone who owns this knife to do it . I also have its little brother, the ZT 0801ti, and it's also a Great Knife .

MSR $350, retailed for 280, then dropped to 250 at end of run. Sorry you were off on your pricing by a C note. Great knife. I've got one with the CPM20 and will never give it up. I think???

I've owned 3 of them, my last one was stolen from me. Just got a lightly used one for $250. Excited to have one back in my rotation! Imo it's the perfect edc

Old Video, not sure if you still monitor the comments. I picked up a ZT 0804 Today from my good friend who owns a knife shop. I was surprised to see that the one you reviewed was S20V. The one I picked up has CTS204P, do you know if they made sprint runs of this Knife?

Hey MC, good to see another review from you. I got this one on clearance when it was discontinued in 2018.

I like it a lot, but I don't carry it mainly because my pocket clip is stiff as hell and the detent ball ruins the fidgetability for me. And the top corner of the flipper tab is sharp so if your finger slips off a couple times it can hurt lol.

The biggest reason though is I don't have a reason to carry this over my Horizon D CF. Same general size shape and weight, no DLC, better (IMO) action, and no detent problem lol.

I've got the 0801Ti which as someone already said, is the Rexford that you were referring to and it had the same double clutch problem. I ended up adding a detent ramp to it so I could slowly push it over the detent ball and then shake it shut.

Clone is D2 and rice fiber and the lick may or may not slip and chop some precious piggies off. I here you are cursed just looking at it! ZT 0804cf is one of the most solid knives out there (top 10) thanks MC! Enjoy all keep the bandaids close

Great review on an awesome knife! I just installed a detent ramp on my 0562Ti a couple days ago. As much as I love the 0562, that double clutch kind of ruined the knife for me (I know it's being petty and picky). I'm bummed I just sold my 0920 or I would have sent it to you! You need to check it out, it's absolutely amazing. It's probably the easiest to carry near 4" blade out there. Came across a 0220 yesterday at my local knife store and that was one I didn't know a thing about and I was incredibly impressed with it. Not really a looker but the action, ergos, and balance were fantastic. And I went to knife store looking at an xm-18, xm-24, and a full track. That's entirely your fault thanks!

That is so strange!! I just traded my friend for this knife yesterday I had one along time ago it was to me under rated till now that there discontinued in my opinion. I traded him one of my sprint run 0393 zt I have 2. I kicked myself when I sold it last year I really like this knife. I’m glad to have it back? My style as always has been simple yet elegant but a worker straight lines sleek I unsay always like multiple deployment methods but this I don’t mind at all. Love my 0804. Was my EDC until he got replaced with a Fulltrack

My favorite of the large sized ZT's. I really don't like the DLC coating on the 804, picks up snail trails too easy and scuffs up too easy. Would have prefered a brushed satin finish like done on the 562CF.
It's the only thing I don't like about the knife, other than that it is close to perfect for me.


If you ask Kia USA they will send out some screws to fill in those empty holes (for the pocket clip cut out on the cf show side) free of charge, I have done that for all of my ZT's. I personally think Kia should do this from factory.

I love this knife, I just hate the double clutch I have to do to close it.

I love this knife but the 4" blade is illegal to carry in my state. I still want it. Can find a good used one for around $200. I little much for a knife I can't conceal.
