Hehe, when I started watching this video, I legitimately thought for a moment you were coming out of your TV :-D ie. Nice scene setup. Great piece of hardware too, informative video. Thanks John.

LodgeNet worked with SNES games in the mid-'90s; I remember going to a hotel in 1995 that used it, and it wasn't until 20 years later that I learned there was ever anything like it for later Nintendo systems.

At 3:45 it says "Machine is booting up, please wait". The weird thing is, it's written all in Katakana, which is usually used for foreign words. I've never seen something like this before lol
At 4:25 at the top it says something like "playing demo" and at the bottom it says "press any button on the controller". My understanding of Japanese if very basic so don't quote me on that.

protip - google translate (and I assume Bing would also work) in conjunction with a phone-camera to translate what's on the screen. Techmoan uses that quite a bit.

I remember the SNES Lodge Net in hotels when I went on vacation with my cousins to Lake Tahoe.

I don't think I've ever seen him without his hat!? I was so surprised about the change in appearance that I didn't even know what it was that was different for the first so many seconds.

3:44 That blue boot screen says "Initializing the machine / Please wait for a bit." Maybe. My Japanese sucks. Great vid btw! Those SFC hotel box thingies gotta be ultra rare at this point.
