I’m a local in a tourist town (Hoi An) in Vietnam. There aren’t many black travelers here. When I see them, I’m just curious to see how beautiful they are, I love their hair and clothes styles, etc… When I look at white people I feel okay. But when I look at black people, I worry that they think I’m judging them or something, which I do not. I did notice that they felt being judged by their skin color and different hairstyles. We locals are just curious. We don’t judge, but from the look we know they feel annoyed. People should understand that when other people look at them, it’s simply because we are curious to see other people/ culture that we don’t see often. It’s not about racial things…
