Hi all.
I think you're already familiar with a similar demo I made on Unity
This time I decided to use Unigine 2 to create a live demo
I used some of the assets from the old demo but I also did a lot of new
stuff.
In my work I used programs such as:
Unigine 2
Blender
Substance Painter
Quixel Megascans
Fl Studio
And some original sounds from Half-Life 2
I also used the combine and strider models from HL:Alyx

The new audio effects for the walker and Russian radio comms add tons of heavy feeling to the atmosphere.... That`s the HL3 that we are missing, I wish Valve could watch this, and hear us.... This made me want to finish HL2 again for the 50x time lol

This is the type of realism the game gave me when I was a child playing this game.
Just being able to interact with objects felt innovative and was rare back in the early 2000's.
Now seeing the game's graphics and audio improved looks truly amazing.

Looks and feels incredible! It's visually pretty and the sound design makes it really creepy. The Strider is scary as heck.

So well done! The stider walking past is scary af, but those gunshots and screams upstairs really show how brutal the combine are. I would love to see the whole game remade like this

For those of you being baffled by how awesome hl2 looks with modern visuals, it’s basically the same experience with Half Life: Alyx. It’s hyper realistic real-time half life except a fully completed game by valve.

Consider broken plasterboards or collapsed ceilings to explain all the rubble in the rooms maybe? all the room walls look unbroken. lighting is nice.

Anyway fantastic job. You nailed the atmosphere! I would pay a fortune for the full remake.
