In an appearance on MSNBC, Eva Longoria was asked by host Ari Melber about the impact Latina women had on the presidential race. She replied, "women of color showed up in big ways. Of course, you saw in Georgia what Black women have done but Latina women were the real heroines here, beating men in turnout in every state and voting for Biden-Harris at an average rate of 3 to 1." Since then, she posted a number of tweets trying to clarify what she said.

Community Organizer Rosa Clemente spoke with Roland during Monday's edition of #RolandMartinUnfiltered about Longoria's comments.

When black people do great things everyone wants to claim it. Where were Latinas in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s. We been laying the concrete for a long time. People need to know their place

She started out with unity saying "Women of color" then ended by dividing us saying "BUT...Latino women were the real heroine's" Black women always falling short to other women of color.

"The real heroines..." We know what we heard. We don't have an issue with comprehension. There is no black and brown coalition.

1920s Black Women helped get the Voting rights. And of course, we were pushed out and forgotten.😪

We need to stop including "brown" when we say black and brown. They have never had us like we had them. Even during civil rights they sat quiet until it was awarded, then they came out of the wood works and benefited.
