John, just get one of the oscillating sprinklers that goes back and forth and set it on top of the shelter door. The smaller drops of water will settle that clay soil better and not leave any air gaps in it. Plus you can then go off and do some 4 wheeling or work on whatever project you want!

You can do straight Solar to a heater element to a water tank no batteries. That’s what I would do for hot water. People selling used solar panels cheap. Like 50.00 to 100.00 for 250 watt panels. Hit me up if you need any advice.
